Promotion of Sean Wells & Michael Matthews

Hearn & Fleener is pleased to announce the promotion of two attorneys within the firm: Sean M. Wells and Michael L. Matthews.

Sean M. Wells was promoted to Partner at Hearn & Fleener LLC in June 2022. Sean has been a litigator since 2009 and has been protecting the rights of homeowners with Hearn & Fleener since January 2017.  Sean has an excellent track record in his pursuit of claims on behalf of his clients.

Coming from a general counsel firm that focused on community association issues, he is able to provide both clients and colleagues additional perspective on various projects and is quick to help brainstorm solutions to any problems we present to him.

Sean earned his Juris Doctorate from Gonzaga University and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Metropolitan State in Denver. While at Hearn & Fleener, he has been recognized multiple times by his peers with Lawyers of Distinction Awards®, Super Lawyers rankings, and through Best Lawyers®.

Michael L. Matthews was named Junior Partner at Hearn & Fleener LLC in June 2022. Michael has been with the firm since June 2017. He has contributed significantly to every claim handled by the office since his start date.

Michael’s advocacy skills made him an instant hit at the office. Over the years, his willingness to collaborate on teams of different sizes and his encyclopedic knowledge of his case files have made him a trusted colleague and advisor to our clients.

Michael earned his Juris Doctorate at Denver’s Sturm College of Law and has a Bachelor of Arts from CU Boulder. During his time at Hearn & Fleener, he has been recognized by Best Lawyers® which ranks attorneys based on their peer reviews and body of work.
