Anna Shaffer

Senior Litigation Paralegal

Anna Shaffer is a Litigation Paralegal at Hearn & Fleener, with over a decade of experience supporting complex civil litigation with a focus on trial preparation and courtroom strategy. Her background includes work in construction defect, environmental law, product liability, business torts, and food law, handling matters from initial filings through trial and post-verdict proceedings.

Anna brings unique insight to the litigation process thanks to her hands-on courtroom experience. Prior to joining Hearn & Fleener, she held key roles at large and nationally recognized law firms.  Anna also served as a Courtroom Deputy for the U.S. District Court, where she supported both civil and criminal trials and collaborated closely with federal judges and attorneys.

At Hearn & Fleener, Anna plays a vital role in managing all phases of litigation. She is known for her strong organizational skills, strategic approach, and deep familiarity with courtroom procedure. She is also proficient in eDiscovery platforms, document review, and the preparation of pleadings, trial exhibits, and case materials.

Anna earned her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Minnesota and actively pursues continuing legal education to stay up to date with developments in litigation practice.

Fun fact: Outside of work, Anna loves hiking with her family—husband Kirk, baby Wrenley, and their dog Treya. A self-proclaimed foodie, she enjoys exploring new restaurants, making her a perfect fit with the Hearn & Fleener team.
