Matthew comes to Hearn & Fleener from the construction industry. In the four years prior to joining the firm, he was a project manager and supervisor focused on the reconstruction and testing side of construction defect claims.
Matthew’s experience planning and supervising over 85 intrusive testing projects for construction defect claims makes him a valuable asset to HF’s clients. He has first-hand knowledge of defective construction, failed materials, poor workmanship and various situations and conditions that contribute to a defect. His time assessing and repairing defective construction and working in occupied space helped him develop a unique perspective and has prepared him well for his role working with the leadership and residents of community associations with construction defect claims.
Matthew has always been interested in people. He wants to know what makes them tick, revs their engine, gives them passion. In his role at Hearn & Fleener as the Director of Business Relations, he is responsible for doing what he is passionate about: Building relationships by meeting and relating to people.
Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Matt loves having four-season access to the outdoors and eating great food with friends. You can find Matthew searching for the best food Colorado has to offer and working/climbing the stairs out at Red Rocks Amphitheatre with his dog, Griz, on Saturday mornings. Of course, a great workout is always followed with a well-deserved breakfast!
